The design for Trophy began with a study of chalices to recognize athletic achievement. This elegant series references Italian Modernism, specifically Murano fixtures from the 1930s and 40s. Through the eyes of Blue Green Works, these classics are reimagined capturing the glory of that period, tempered by a more relaxed silhouette — formal but approachable.///Description
Blue Green Works is a Manhattan-based design studio founded in 2020 which carefully combines hand-formed materials with precision metalwork. The studio focuses on making design objects with a purity that allows the pieces to stand alone and converse with the spaces in which they live. Informed by film, architecture, street culture and New York City, Blue Green strives to create great work that makes sense in the world.
