Designed in 1970 by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini, Boalum uses high-efficiency LEDs to emit a diffused light along its entire length. The translucent PVC structure is flexible yet extremely robust and can be connected in series of up to four pieces. 

This versatile light from Artemide is at once sculpture and design. It features in museum collections worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in Philadelphia and the Museum of Italian Design in Milan.
